Many of Jan's books are based in the winter or in cold climates, which just so happens to go perfectly with our arctic animals unit we started in science. This week we learned all about polar bears and walruses. Ask your child to share something new they learned with you about these amazing animals!
HOMEWORK
Please make note of the homework that came home with the newsletter. It is very important that each child completes this to help with a writing assignment that we will be doing. Homework should be returned by next FRIDAY (1-24).

EXTRA P.E.
We have earned enough Tiger Tokens for our next celebration! The students voted and decided that they would like to have extra P.E. and I will be joining them. Our extra P.E. will take place next Tuesday. This means that your child will need to wear tennis shoes next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Don’t forget, your child is also welcome to bring a water bottle with them for “Work Out Monday” in P.E. each week.
SIGHT WORD LIST
You will notice that a new sight word list is coming home with your child. This is the next list that will be assessed.
Ask your child about…our Jan Brett author study, prepositions, using correct punctuation, telling time to the hour and half hour, lunch room practice with Principal Miller, and new PALS / Rocket Math partners.
