|Keeping Up With Kramer's Class||
On Tuesday we read the book Duck on a Bike by David Shannon. Originally the purpose of the lesson was to focus on the variety of punctuation that the author uses in the book. However, my firsties latched on to the ending of the book - making incredible inferences and I just couldn't pass up the "teachable moment." We still spent a significant amount of time talking about conventions but we spent the next few days publishing these gems during Work on Writing time.
On Tuesday, February 21st Willard East will be hosting some very special guests. Several area principals will be in our building. Please remind your child of appropriate classroom, hallway, and bathroom behaviors.
As you are aware, the first grade musical is right around the corner! Here are some important dates to remember:
WEDNESDAY, FEB 22: All speaking parts and solos must be memorized
TUESDAY, MARCH 6th: All costumes need to be complete and at school for dress rehearsal
THURSDAY, MARCH 8th: Performances at 2:30 and 7:00PM.
Please contact Mrs. Kuchta with any questions.
