Check out the pictures below to get a little peek at some of the learning we have had going on. We practiced blowing bubbles (so much fun!) and even wrote a "how to" piece about it. Then, we made an adorable little craft to go with it. We were supposed to spend an entire week with the Grinch, but sadly we only got in two days with our favorite fuzzy green guy because of the weather. However, we did write about what makes us feel like the Grinch... and of course, made an adorable craft to go along with it too!
And I can't forget to fill you in on our elf, Gilbert. He has been EVERYWHERE! We have found him hanging from the ceiling, driving a car, and even writing secret messages to us. I wish Gilbert could be a permanent fixture in our classroom but sadly he must return home to the North Pole soon.
January Snack Calendar
I cannot believe I did this but I started the helper schedule on Wednesday, January 1st instead of the 6th! I don’t want to skip the people listed on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd so if those students want to bring snacks during the week of January 6-10 we can have two helpers on those days. I hope that makes sense. I apologize for my mistake!

SNOW DAY MAKE UP SCHEDULE
The following days have been scheduled as two of our make up days:
January 20th: full day for students
February 14th: 1/2 day for students
CONGRATULATIONS, GRACEN!!!
Congratulations to Gracen M. for being the first student in our class to turn in 20 reading logs (200 books). Gracen got to celebrate by eating pizza in the classroom with me this week. Don’t forget to write down when you read with your child or when they read independently. Also, if you are reading Charlotte’s Web as part of the school-wide book club, remember to write down each chapter separately on the reading log.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I truly hope that each and every one of you enjoy your time with friends and family this holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
