We started two weeks of close reading about pumpkins. We have searching for good information, taking a lot of notes, and even writing a non-fiction chapter book about pumpkins! Yep! You read that right... my first graders are becoming AMAZING authors!!! They have even been searching for pictures in computer lab to use in their books. I cannot wait to see the finished products! We read some great non-fiction books about pumpkins this week and focused on learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin and what this fruit needs to grow! INFORMATION AND REMINDERS
