ink, sink, think, bank, sank, thank
Class Challenge: Mrs. Kramer will bring donuts for the class if everybody gets 100% on the spelling test.

FIELD TRIP REMINDERS AND INFORMATION
* Permission Slips and money are due WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4th
* If your child is bringing a lunch from home please put the lunch in a lunch sack or plastic Wal-Mart type bag and label it with your child’s name and our class code (1-K). This helps because after lunch we can throw everything away and not have to keep track of lunch boxes at the park.
* Due to limited space on the bus, all parents attending the field trip will need to provide their own transportation.

NO SCHOOL
Don’t forget… school will not be in session on Friday, April 6th or Monday, April 9th!

LOOKING FOR A WAY TO HELP YOUR CHILD?
We have been practicing counting money at school. This can be a very difficult and even frustrating concept for young learners. Please practice this concept at home with your child.

Welcome Back!

I would like to officially welcome Ms. Burrell! She will be spending the next five weeks with our class and we are SO excited to have her! I unexpectedly needed to be at a meeting this morning and Ms. Burrell stepped right up and with no hesitation took over for a little while. I usually like to tell my students when I'll be gone but since this fell right after spring break, I let their minds wander a little and had them predict where I was. First, Ms. Burrell read Miss Nelson is Missing to the students. Then, my students wrote down where they thought I actually was. Some of their creative minds came up with some fantastic guesses! One student thought I was getting a manicure (complete with pink giraffes painted on my nails), while another student thought I was in Hawaii! These were just too cute to not share!

MUSICAL REMINDERS
TUESDAY, MARCH 6th: All costumes need to be complete and at school for dress rehearsal.
THURSDAY, MARCH 8th: Performances at 2:30 and 7:00PM. Students need to meet outside our classroom at 6:45 PM. Please do not plan to drop your child off earlier then 6:45. I have a meeting that I will be at prior to the musical performance.

Miss Burrell
For the five weeks after spring break, we will be hosting a student teacher from MSU. Miss Burrell will be with us all day, every day (unlike a practicum student that is here only one day a week.) I expect the students to treat her just as they would any other teacher in our building.  This is a fabulous opportunity for our class. Miss Burrell attends my church and I am positive that she will do an outstanding job during her time in our classroom.
