Ms. Peper started the observation period of her student teaching last week. She will be in our classroom all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the remainder of the month. Beginning January 30th, Ms. Peper will be in our classroom all day, every day until mid April. She will slowly start taking over different content areas and will be sharing all teaching responsibilities with me. This is not only a learning experience for her, but also a HUGE benefit for our students as well. Now your child will have TWO full time teachers in the classroom. This is her final step before graduating from Evangel with her Elementary Education certification. She is a super hard worker and has made getting to know each child a priority. We are very fortunate to have her in our room.
A permission slip came home with your student today that allows Ms. Peper to submit your student’s work to the state as evidence of her teaching. Your child’s name will not be attached to the work samples.
Please return the permission slip by next Friday, January 27th. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know!
100th DAY
Willard East will celebrate the 100th Day of School in style !!! On Tuesday, students are invited to either dress like they are 100 years old OR wear 100 of something. I have seen shirts with 100 safety pins, 100 hearts, 100 stickers—get as creative as you would like.
Next up in math we will be working on number writing and patterns in numbers to 120!
