We also made the MOST adorable dioramas. I have never actually made these with my students so I was super excited to see how they turned out. Let me tell you.... they did NOT disappoint. If you are in the building please make sure to check these out in the first grade hallway.
WEEKLY NEWS
A few reminders to share about our
Valentine’s Day party. The party is next Friday (Feb 10th) at 8:45AM.
Students will enjoy donuts, juice, and yogurt.
They will also exchange cards and do a STEM challenge.
The party will conclude between 9:30-9:45.
Each child should bring a decorated box or bag to hold the cards that they receive. Please send the cards that your child will be passing out in a separate ziplock or rubber banded together. This will help prevent getting the cards they want to pass out mixed up with the cards they receive.
Students should bring their Valentine box or bag on Friday morning.
EARLY OUT
Next Friday will also be an early dismissal.
Students will be released at 12:30 on Friday, February 10th.
STEM CHALLENGE THURSDAY
On Thursday, every first grade class will rotate to all four first grade rooms. Each first grade teacher has a different STEM challenge planned. This means that your child will get to do four different STEM challenges next Thursday!
A teacher from Strafford Elementary will also be observing on this day. She would like to incorporate STEM learning into her own classroom so she asked if she could come watch our students.
