I HATE being absent from school. However, I must say that it makes being gone soooo much easier when I know my students will be responsible, respectful, and continue on with their day just as they would if I were with them. As you know, I was absent this morning. I found the most wonderful note from my sub when I arrived back to school today. She said the students were well behaved, on task, very respectful and that she was very impressed! WOW!!! I LOVE coming back to hear these things!
Don’t forget I will also be gone November 18th due to an all day meeting. Please call the office (742-4639) if your child is going home a way other than he or she usually does.
SPECIAL GUEST
On Wednesday (my newsletter says Tuesday - sorry! My mistake!) the first graders will host a very special guest! Mr. Robert Tallbird will be bringing lots of Native American artifacts and sharing tradition Native American stories and information with us. This is one of my absolute favorite learning experiences during our school year.
HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE
Thank you to everyone that has brought in Ramen Noodles so far for the Willard Food Pantry food drive! The class that collects the most items will earn extra PE, Art, Music, or Computers. The food drive will run through November 21st. Students that donate to the drive may also participate in Costumes for Community Service on the 21st by wearing camo!
