I was originally planning on sending home my first newsletter NEXT Friday - but I had too many important reminders to share. Some of this information made it into the newsletter, but not everything would fit this week!
STAY IN TOUCH!!!
Two excellent ways to stay in touch are to subscribe to my blog and to subscribe to my REMIND group. You can subscribe to my blog by looking at the right hand side of this post. There is a place for you to enter your email address. If you do this, you will get a copy of the blog sent directly to your inbox anytime that I update it. Please keep in mind, I do not get to control the timing that it is sent. Often times, there is a delay after I publish a new post before it is sent.
REMIND is an amazing way to stay in touch!!! This program allows you to receive brief text message from me - without actually sharing your contact info. I use this A LOT. For example, the buses were running late yesterday so normally I would send a text to let you know that your child might arrive home a little later than usual. I will also send a reminder about T-Shirt orders as the due date gets closer. Another way I use it is to let you know if I am sick. I like to give my students a heads up when I know I am going to have a substitute. Unfortunately, things happen where I may not always know ahead of time. If I get sick, I will send a message through REMIND so you can let your child know that they will have a sub. I also send messages on snow days just as soon as I get word of a cancellation. I promise not to bombard you with texts, but it is an excellent way to stay in the know!
If you would like to sign up for my REMIND group it is super simple! Just text @kramer203 to (636)614-0178. Your number will stay private, I will only see your name!
Please don’t forget that school is released EARLY every Monday! We will dismiss at 3:10 each week.
SPECIAL CLASS SCHEDULE
We will follow the same schedule each week.
THURSDAY–P.E. (tennis shoes!)
Your child is welcome to bring a water bottle to school but it needs to fit / stay in his or her
cubby. This is due to the amount of technology your students will be using this year at their
If your student would like to purchase a school shirt, the order forms and money are due NO LATER than August 24th. The order form came home during Meet the Teacher Night. Please let me know if you would like another copy of the order form. Please note, these are the shirts that they students have received for free in the past. The cost has increased too much for our PTO funds to cover them, so we are now offering them to each student for $5.
Next week’s helper schedule
Please send snacks for 21 students. School policy requires all snacks to be store bought.
We have TWO food allergies: peanuts and sesame seeds. Please be keep this is mind when purchasing snacks.
