In math, we continued to work hard on our subtraction strategies and wrapped up our Topic 4 assessment on Friday. Next week we will begin Topic 5, which continues to reinforce work with addition and subtraction strategies and equations.
We also enjoyed some wonderful books this week, which includes one of my all time favorites, Creepy Carrots! This is a clever book about a rabbit who loves to take carrots out of a field. The carrots decide to devise a plan to keep Jasper the Rabbit far away. Ask your student to tell you about this adorable book!
Don’t forget that next week is conference week!
It is so important to me that I get to meet with each family.
* I will do my absolute best to stay on schedule. Please help me by arriving on time to your selected conference time.
* If you need to reschedule, please let me know and I will be happy to help find another time that we can meet.
* Our time together is SO short. You should receive an email from Mastery Connect with your child’s progress report. Please feel free to look over it before our conference.
* As always, please let me know if you have questions or concerns. I am happy to help!
VETERAN’S DAY ASSEMBLY
We will be having our annual Veteran’s Day assembly the morning of Friday, November 10th. Additional information will be coming home soon. Please let me know if your child will be bringing a Veteran with them as an honored guest to our assembly. Thank you!
